DOG SLED TOURS
Let us help set up your unique Alaskan Adventure!
Welcome to Wings & Paws Kennel. Home to Rick and Linda Horstmann and our kids. A pack of eclectic, energetic, four footed athletes, some call them “sleddogs”.

It’s about the adventure, it’s about following your dreams, it’s about what my role model and friend Col. Norman Vaughan says:”Dream Big and Dare to Fail” But mostly it’s all about the dogs and the unique passport to the Alaskan winter wilderness they provide. Wings & Paws is located at Montana Creek Alaska, in a beautiful Boreal Forest. The “Great One”, Denali reigns supreme over the area and enhances the spectacular Alaskan country side in which we live and train our team of sled dogs. The Iditarod was a goal and a grand adventure, but its really about traveling and camping with the dogs.

Approximately two and one-half hours and includes a ride on the runners. $150 per person.

** New - "No-Ride Option" $50/person **

Not everyone wants to ride in the sled. Maybe you would like to come and meet the dogs, learn about dog mushing, sled dogs, the Iditarod, sled dogs, how we travel and camp in below zero weather, sled dogs, mushing stories and sled dogs! Watch us harness and run a team. Ask all the questions you want. Get your picture taken with sled dogs... Then the No-Ride visit might be perfect for you. Of course, you are free to change your mind and take the ride after all. [Note that the no-ride charge does NOT apply to those who come accompanying paying riders.]

Safety and enjoyment are top concern - Tours maybe cancelled if weather or conditions are in our opinion unsatisfactory. We will reschedule or a full refund will be given.
